Cooling batteries are designed to be installed into ducted ventilation systems to cool the air that passes through them. There are ranges suitable for fitting to either round duct or to rectangular duct.

There are two generic types - water cooling batteries which would typically have a flow and return of cold water from a chiller to cool the air flow, and DX cooling batteries which would typically be connected to an air conditioner condenser unit.

Cooling batteries typically have a drip tray and drain to deal with the condensed water that will form on the coils when the air is cooled.
