HVLS fans are as good as it gets for lowering apparent temperature using fans. They move huge quantities of air but the best bit is that the air movement is not patchy like you get with smaller high speed fans, instead the vast air flow from these HVLS fans gently washes over you. This constant gentle air movement from HVLS fans is refreshing and it does make you feel cool and comfortable.

As well as being excellent at apparent cooling in large buildings HVLS fans also have a use in the heating season. With the speed turned down they are excellent de-stratification fans that make best use of the heat that is produced by the heating system and make the heating more economical to run.
