Called safe portable air movers because whilst some are fans with fan blades, others are not and therefore air mover is a more inclusive description. In this category there are ATEX rated fans running on electricity, there are fans that run on compressed air, pneumatic air horns, and pneumatic induction air movers. The purpose of all these air movers is to be able to convey air without explosion risk. They find their application in confined spaces such as in wells, mines and tanks but also for site work in ATEX zoned areas.
