Fan heaters for use on ships and other marine or offshore applications are specialist bits of equipment. The environment on ships and other marine applications are rather more testing than typical land based settings. Not only constant movement in all directions and low frequancy vibrations in the vessels structure would have a distructive effect on normal fan heaters.
Unlike fan heaters that are used on land these marine fan heaters have a number of design features that make them suitable and safe for use on marine applications. These ship fan hearters have all been electrical safety and vibration tested for use on ships, and have reinforced electrical insulation. Moreover, they have bracketed heating elements and reinforced motor support. The IP44 means that they are splash proof.
