This section includes air conditioning and evaporative cooling.
Split air conditioners - essentially two component elements, an inside bit that delivers the cool air and an external bit that discharges heat, that are connected by refrigerant pipes, so that the two elements when linked form a refrigerant circuit. The big benefit of split air conditioners is that the noisy bit, i.e. the compressor, is outside. Also the refrigerant pipes, or 'umbilical cord', is usually far easier to route through a door or window than a exhaust duct on a monoblock. Also there is usually very little penelty to having longer refrigerant pipes if say the outside is a distance from the cooled room.
Monoblock air conditioners are air conditioners that are in one peice. They have to have some connection to the outside environment in order to loose heat so often have an exhaust duct to move warm air to outside. Our monoblock air conditioners come on a variety of formats and capacities, and include window air conditioners, industrial mobile air conditioners, mobile air conditioners for offices and home, and large climate control units.
Evaporative coolers or swamp coolers as they are sometimes known rely on the evaporation of water to produce cooling effect. Although not as powerful as air conditioning, evaporative coolers do offer a much more cost effective means of taking the edge of the heat. The performance of evaporative coolers does rely on ambient condition (ie temperature and humidity) and generally the dryer the air the better the performance. We also include in this category, misting fans which are a great way of cooling outside. Top brands here include Met Mann, Master and Mark.
