Desiccant dehumidifiers effectively extract moisture from the air by absorbing water from the environment with the use of a desiccant wheel and then desorbing the water from the desiccant wheel onto a smaller exhaust airflow. They are particularly well suited to operation in lower temperatures and in applications where low levels of relative humidity need to be maintained.
