This Heat recovery and Air Handling Units (AHU) category includes a host of diverse options. At its most basic an AHU is simply a box with a fan moving air from one place to another. These may be controlled to optimse a rang eof conditions including temperature and humidity. Heat recovery ventilation systems work by extracting moist and stale air recovering the (normally lost) heat from the extracted air. Heat recovery ventilation systems also supplies clean, filtered fresh air that is heated from the recovered warmth of the recovered heat.
