Air curtains with ancillary heating provided by low pressure hot water (LPHW) are used to maintain a heated indoor environment when a door opens out to the external environment. Hot water heated air curtains rely on the power of a centralised hot water system to heat the indoor air recirculated by the air curtain.
These commercial air curtains create a barrier between the external and internal environments to provide effective protection against cold, heat, dust and pollutants from entering through the doorway. Suitable for a wide range of applications, hot water heated air curtains are usually found in commercial and retail premises where doors are frequently opening and closing, and the overall heating cost can be mitigated by the energy savings.
Puravent’s range of water heated air curtains is available in a variety of sizes for mounting up to 6 metres in height, alongside a selection of water heated vertical air curtains options. If you require any assistance, please call us on 01729 924108 to discuss your requirements.

This calculator is provided as a broad based indication of the energy cost of running a filter based air purification, and an indicative cost of running a Sanuvox system as an alternative. It should not be assumed to be absolutely accurate and should not be used as the basis of an actual system design or forecast of cost saving of an actual system. We accept no liability for consequences of the inappropriate use of this calculator, or its results. Actual figures would depend on the proposed system for a particular application and on the exact parameters of that application.
