Split air conditioning - essentially two component elements, an inside bit that delivers the cool air and an external bit that discharges heat, that are connected by refrigerant pipes, so that the two elements when linked form a refrigerant circuit. The big benefit of split air conditioners is that the noisy bit, i.e. the compressor, is outside. Also the refrigerant pipes, or 'umbilical cord', is usually far easier to route through a door or window than a exhaust duct on a monoblock. Also there is usually very little penalty to having longer refrigerant pipes if say the outside is a distance from the cooled room.
In our range of split air conditioning we offer models that are both for installation and models that are mobile. As well as models that rely on a refrigerant circuit look out for models of split air conditioning that have a water or glycol circuit.
