The Ecovent is a novel odour control device specifically designed for fitting to ducting that carries odourous air extracted from commercial kitchens via extract canopies ad hoods. The unit is based on UV light and opeates at 185nm and 254nm. The unit does not sit within the airflow so cannot get contaminated by the grease laden air in the duct. Moreover, unlike filter based solutions, it adds no additional pressure drop to the fans so operating costs of the extract system are minimised. It is also incredibly easy to install.
