Roof cowls are fitted to provide a route for supply and exhaust air for the ventilation system. Well designed and properly fitted, roof cowls are designed to prevent the ingress of weather whilst allowing the free passage of supply or exhaust air.
Some roof cowls are designed and sized to be fitted as an end piece for a standard square or round ducting. Others are designed to operate either as a passive means of ventilation or to be optionally fitted to a fan to provide mechanised air movement. These types usually have options for making weather tight the penetration through the roof by means of soakers and or flashing.
Our range of roof cowls features both generic types and there are models of various sizes, materials and features such as bird mesh grills, and backdraft shutters. In addition to the traditional style of roof cowl where air is expelled horizontally, there are also models that are designed for vertical air discharge.
Puravent supplies a wide range of roof cowls and roof hoods from leading manufacturer Systemair. We can supply extensive options in sizes and fittings to suit your application. If you require any assistance, please call us on 01729 924108 to discuss your requirements.

This calculator is provided as a broad based indication of the energy cost of running a filter based air purification, and an indicative cost of running a Sanuvox system as an alternative. It should not be assumed to be absolutely accurate and should not be used as the basis of an actual system design or forecast of cost saving of an actual system. We accept no liability for consequences of the inappropriate use of this calculator, or its results. Actual figures would depend on the proposed system for a particular application and on the exact parameters of that application.
