After many years in air filtration, and air pollution abatement the company's founder set up Adremit Limited in 2003 to sell pollen filters to consumers for their cars, which we still do, although as the company has moved on and diversified, the original trade seems a bit out of kilter with our current main stream business. The first diversification took us into domestic air cleaners and purifiers, then came heaters, air conditioners and radiators. Our focus with the exception of the pollen filters, is now almost entirely on commercial and industrial markets, which brings more interesting enquires and better suits the temperament, skills and knowledge of our staff.
Occasionally people ask why was is the company called Adremit. No reason beyond a random blend of children's magnetic letters on a fridge. It means nothing and does not describe (therefore limit) any particular trade or activity.
Approach
Adremit provides products and systems for air purification heating and cooling. Although we sell via this website www.puravent.co.uk, this is actually only a small part of our service as most of our business is conducted with customers by phone and email, albeit that the initial interest in our product range is typically from our website. Whilst other internet traders may only want orders placed on their websites, we actually welcome customers enquiries because it helps us to ensure that the ideal products are selected for a particular application, and minimises the potential for supplying products that might not be quite right. We often get involved in and indeed welcome, quite complex enquiries, where our recommended scheme may include a number of different products which may not always be from those offered on the Puravent website. Although we list most of our faster moving product lines on this website, there are hundreds of products that we sell that are not listed on the site, from which we select to suite individual enquiries.
Although many of the products that you see on our website are sold as advertised, there are occasions where we work with manufacturers to make a standard product adapted to a particular application or indeed we may offer a special which needs to be designed and manufactured from scratch.
Served Market Sectors
Over the years we are delighted to have supplied thousands of customers in a huge variety of fields. Resisting the urge to name more notable customers, the following small selection of where our business comes from demonstrates the scope of our capability;

● Beauty Parlours and Health Clubs |
● Food Producers and Processors |
In addition to organisations large and small we have also supplied several
thousand consumers.
The variety of air purification, heating and cooling requirements that can be
derived from such a diverse range of markets is staggering. Although well versed
in the solutions to most of the enquiries that we receive, alas we happily admit
that we don't 'know it all', and where we are found wanting and don't readily
have an answer, we rely on our close relationships with our principle
suppliers, where we usually know a 'man (or woman) who can'
Importing and Exporting
Although most of our business is conducted within the UK, it is not a rule. We have exported to many countries in both northern and southern hemispheres, and particularly to middle eastern countries. Occasionally the scale of an order necessitates the production of product specifically to meet that order, and that can mean using specialist manufacturers in either the UK or overseas. It has also been known for our orders to be made in one country and to shipped directly to another, without landing in the UK.
Installation
We are often asked if we do installation. Not often is the general answer, however, there are instances where we arrange the installation of a system. We don't install products ourselves, but do however use qualified installation people to install on our behalf. This is particularly the case for industrial air purification systems, air conditioning systems and some oil and gas fired heating systems. If a system requires specialist design and installation and is not just a 'plug in product', and it cannot be readily installed by say a refrigeration engineer or electrician local to the customer, then we may offer to not only sell the equipment but to treat it as a project management job, where we coordinate the design, any specialist fabrication and installation.
Attitude
Although we strive to ensure that the orders for standard products are properly fulfilled, we are also happy to help customers select the most suitable products for their application and are delighted when asked to help with the more 'off the wall' applications. Were other companies might shrug their shoulders and move onto the next easy £, we rise to the challenge.
